A restaurant with a vibrant presence in downtown Sacramento is adding a location here in Elk Grove.
Crest Café, a fast-service Mediterranean eatery, recently held a grand opening for its restaurant along Elk Grove Boulevard.
When visitors step inside Crest Cafe, they’ll immediately feel the energy of the casual and contemporary atmosphere and will be overcome by the delectable aromas of Mediterranean fare.
For nearly a decade, Crest Café has been part of the downtown Sacramento food conversation. As one of the more popular restaurants on K Street, the women-owned business consistently delivers mouthwatering foods with farm-to-fork ingredients and unbeatable customer service that is never without a smile.
Your face will light up when you see the menu. Crest Café highlights some of its favorite dishes, including Mediterranean nachos, made with fresh fried pita chips topped with chicken shawarma, garlic sauce, onion, tomatoes and feta cheese. If this speaks to you, you’ll probably also enjoy the Mediterranean gyro fries. For something lighter, Crest Café makes bowls with rice, chicken shawarma, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and feta cheese.
The primary pita entrees include three tacos: falafel, chicken shawarma and beef shawarma. Pita bread is smeared with house-made avocado hummus and is topped with eggplant salsa. The tacos also include chipotle tahini sauce, falafel and feta cheese.
Customers can also build their own pita, wrap or plate. They can select from falafel, lamb gyro, garlic chicken, chicken shawarma, chicken kabob and beef shawarma. Lettuce and tomato are included, but other add-ons are available, such as red cabbage, cucumber, onion, banana pepper, Crest spice, feta, hummus and grilled onion. Chipotle, creamy jalapeno, garlic or Tzatziki sauces are the finishing touch to each customized order.
If you want to start your meal with a salad, Crest Café puts together an incredible Greek salad with the freshest romaine lettuce, red cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and feta cheese with house dressing. The Couscous salad is another fresh salad option.
Other side dishes are available on the menu.
