The Consumes Community Services District (CSD) and the city of Elk Grove will hold a fitness special event on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Elk Grove Regional Park. This will be a fantastic, fun-filled fitness festival where everyone can learn about healthy habits, fitness, nutrition and enjoy participating in class demonstrations and activities.

This festival will also host the third annual Elk Grove Gauntlet adult fitness competition and the Kids Warrior Challenge course.

The Elk Grove Gauntlet

This one-day fitness competition is open to men and women:

  1. Scaled (novice)
  2. Rx (Open)
  3. Masters (40+)

Participants must be 18 years or older, and there is an awards ceremony following the competition, and a prize will be given out for each category. The entry fee for a team of two males and two females is $100.

The Kids Warrior Challenge

Young athletes will have their moment in the sun to test mental and physical skills as they work their way through challenging obstacles on an inflatable course.

Registration is limited to the first 225 children, ages 6 to 12. The entry fee is $25 per child, and it includes a T-shirt and one hour of time on the course. Advance registration is available here.
