A second In-N-Out Burger restaurant may soon find a new home at the Ridge Shopping Center on Elk Grove Boulevard.

The fast-food chain’s current location is on the east side of Highway 99 off Bond Road near Laguna Boulevard.

Company leaders expressed excitement over the possibility of a new Elk Grove location and are working on putting together a final proposal and plan for the second location. It could open as early as September.

In-N-Out Burger has come a long way since the opening of its original restaurant in Baldwin Park over 70 years ago. The company has truly showed fans what a hamburger’s all about with never-frozen beef, special spread sauce and other fresh ingredients.

While In-N-Out Burger keeps a simple menu, it also treats its customers with a variety of options through its secret menu. Visitors can order twice the burger or go bigger with a 3×3 and 4×4. The numbers represent beef patties and slices of cheese.

Or, burger lovers can order “Animal Style,” and enjoy extra spread sauce, cheese and grilled onions. For something a little lighter, go Protein Style to sub out the bun for a lettuce wrap.

In-N-Out uses fresh, hand-cut potatoes for its French fries, which are cooked in 100% sunflower oil.
