Following a two-year hiatus, the seasonal framers market makes its return to historic Old Town Elk Grove just in time for the warmer weather.
A grand reopening celebration was held earlier this month to ring in the start of farmers market season. The venue will be open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through the end of November.
The weekend gathering is about more than fresh produce and foods. Live music and family-friendly activities are also part of the mix at the Old Town Elk Grove Farmers Market. People who attend are also surprised by the other offerings, including health and wellness workshops, arts and crafts, cooking demos with chefs and other food-centric exhibitions.
Visitors can expect all the farm-to-table goodness they’ve come to love at the area’s farmers market. You’ll find everything from organic fruits, hand-cut flowers, baked goods, preserved fruits and fresh fruit juices, honey, mushrooms, pet food, house plants, olive oil and health and beauty products.
On a typical Sunday, visitors can explore fresh goods and products from more than 60 vendors, including on-site food trucks and stands. Parking is also hassle-free and comes at no cost.
The market is at 9615 Railroad Street in Elk Grove.
